Hey everyone, happy Sunday to you all!  For today's post, I have a card I created for the latest challenge over at the Glitter N Sparkle blog! The theme for this week's challenge is: "Include a Butterfly".
Please make sure to stop the Glitter N Sparkle blog to play along and share your beautiful, "add a butterfly," creations with us!

We have some great sponsors lined up for this challenge and great prizes for you to win.

                                                                  -All Dressed Up

                                                                -Bugaboo Stamps

The card I made features one of the lovely images you can find at the The East Wind Etsy shop
Here's a pic for you to check out:

The card measures 5" x 5" and uses white card stock for the base.
I layered a piece of pink card stock onto the base that I cut to 4 7/8" x 4 7/8," and added a decorative pattern on top that I cut using my Cricut Explore and black card stock.
I then set this aside to work on the image.

For the image, I drew a butterfly on her face and added wings behind her.
Next, I inked it in and used my alcohol markers to bring it to life.

Here's a rundown of the colors I used:

-Skin- E00, E11, E13
-Hair- E74, E18, E79
-Dress, Wings, Butterfly- RV000, RV52, RV55, RV63, 100, C06, C08, Gelly Roll White pen, Wink of Stella Glitter markers in Clear and Black
-Background- B00, B12

I trimmed the image panel down, stamped swirls in the background, and layered it on a piece of white card stock. I added some black card stock swirls, flowers, rhinestones and a butterfly.  Next, I adhered it to the card base and added this chipboard "Thanks" from Make It Crafty.

And voila! Card complete!

I hope you all enjoyed this card for today!
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your Sunday! :)

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! For today's post, I have a tag I created for the LBBS blog! My project features one of he newest releases for this month, "Star Fairy".
Here's the pic for you to check out:

I used a standard 2 5/8" x 5 1/4" manila tag and colored the surface using the Dylusions "After Midnight"  spray ink.
I then softened the look by spraying some Dylusions white ink over the top.
I stamped a few stars in VersaMark ink and heat set it using my Recollections white embossing powder.
Next I moved on to coloring the image with my alcohol markers.
Here's a rundown of the colors I used:
-Skin- E00, E13, RV52
-Hair- C04, C06, C08
-Dress- V20, V25, B00, B18
-Wings- Y00, Y15, RV52, RV55

I fussy cut the image out and used pop dots to adhere her to the tag.
I used my Diamond Stickles to add sparkle to her outfit and wings.
Now it was time to add the embellishments.

I added torn pieces of pink tulle to add some texture to the tag.
I punched a few gold stars and scattered them around.
Lastly I used a Tim Holtz rub on transfer to create my sentiment:
"Collect beautiful moments, make it count, see possibility everywhere, and own your dreams".

A purple silk ribbon from MayArts tied at the top finishes this tag off.

And ta-da! Tag complete!

I hope you enjoyed this project for today!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! :)

The Trip of a Lifetime Tag: LBBS July Release!!

Hey everyone, happy Friday to you all! Today's post features one of the newest releases from the LBBS July release.  Olga has some wonderful new images to share, so please make sure to head over to the LBBS shop to check them out. Now for my project, I used the "Enjoy your Travel" image, which features a stewardess, bag, and some travel inspired sentiments. This image is perfect for cards, art journals, and even luggage tags.

Here's a pic of the tag for you to check out:

 .

I used a standard size 2 5/8" x 5 1/4" manila tag, and I added color to the tag using my Distress Ink in Walnut. Then, I added some more color using my Distress Paint in Bronze and my Ranger Perfect Pearls Spray Ink in Copper. Afterwards, I used my heat tool to dry and set the color.

Next, I stamped the background using a Hampton Arts Harlequin stamp, and my Memento Mixed Media ink in Black. I used the ink pad to go around the edges, and my heat tool to set the ink.
Then I used some travel themed sticker definitions from my stash to add the sentiments to complete the background.
Finally, I the tag set it aside to work on the image.

I printed the image out and colored it in using my Copics.

Here's a rundown of the colors I used:
                                                               -Skin- E00, E11, R52
                                                               -Hair- Y00, Y15, E13
                                                 -Outfit- B14, B18,  C01, C03, C06, C08
                                                                  -Bag- E74, E79

I fussy cut the images out and adhered them to the tag.
Then, using my Recollections water color marker in black, I went around the edges to add some shadows. I also used my water brush to soften the shadows a bit.

As a finishing touch, I sprayed some white pigment ink from Dylusions and tied a ribbon at the top.

And voila! Tag complete!

I hope you all enjoyed this project for today!
You could take this tag put it inside of a plastic sleeve and add your information to the back to make a unique tag for your luggage.
Wouldn't that be cool?
One last thing before I end this post; "What would your ultimate trip of a lifetime be? And why?"
Mine is pretty cliche, but I would definitely say a trip to Paris!
I would love to be able to see the Eiffel Tower and visit the Louvre.
Make sure to leave your answer in the comment box!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!!
